Our Nephrology Program is resident-centered and is designed to provide an educational environment under which the Resident thrives and is provided extensive exposure to both ambulatory and in-patient Nephrology care.

During the first year of training, the Nephrology Resident rotates through a number of mandatory rotations in order to acquire the knowledge necessary to develop expertise in Nephrology (see First Year of Residency for details).

The second year of training is flexible to meet the individual needs and goals of the resident (see Second Year of Residency for details).

Throughout both years of training, there are several educational rounds, journal clubs, and conference opportunities that are mandatory for residents to attend. The residents are protected from clinical duties to attend these educational opportunities. These rounds further enhance the educational experience of the residents.
